About Orange Scarf

Orange Scarf believes in empowering women.

Whether it is through helping someone feel great when they add a pop of color with a beautiful new scarf or by donating to organizations that help women and girls, it can make a difference.

Orange Scarf is committed to giving back, focusing on organizations and causes that empower women. This is accomplished through direct monthly contributions to organizations that help women and girls and by offering products made by women in programs that support their growth and empowerment. 

Why is it called Orange Scarf?

Having five daughters (yes, there was a son too) was an interesting adventure for my dad.

He navigated the dramatic teen years with aplomb, though it cost him all of his hair. When asked by any of us "how do I look?", he would reply "all that outfit needs is a nice orange scarf". He had no fashion sense, but always had a keen sense of tact and diplomacy.

In the years that followed, it became a standard response by all of our siblings when asked "how do I look?". My love of scarves began with....

"All that outfit needs is a nice orange scarf!"

Our mom believed in philanthropy and spent a significant part of her life dedicated to volunteerism. From her we learned the gift of giving back. No matter how big or small, or the manner in which we contribute to the world around us, she showed us that we can all make a difference.

With this lesson in mind, Orange Scarf is committed to giving back, with a focus on organizations and causes that empower women. I do this through direct contributions and by offering products made by women in programs that support their growth and empowerment in the Empowerment Collection.
